A catamaran tender offers an amazing platform for both stable guest transfers and water sports activities. These craft have quickly become the SUV of the seas and we have already built several vessels for our clients.
To develop the Compass Tenders catamaran model we have worked with our long-term partner and notable naval architect, Patrick Banfield.
The cockpit area of the catamaran tender is vast, benefitting from the catamaran’s full beam. The layout offers guest seating to aft and a galley, complete with 60 ltr fridge, head/shower unit and steering console are positioned amidships.
The large forward load bay and deck space can carry quad bikes, beach BBQ equipment, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, mountain bikes and scuba diving equipment as desired. Further seating can also be installed in the forward part of the catamaran if required.
This versatile tender can even be used for wake boarding, skiing and to pull various tow-ables. A crane can easily be installed in sockets provided.
Comfort is afforded by a large bimini to shelter and shade the seating, making these catamarans an ideal choice for extended day-time excursions.
We would expect a Compass catamaran to achieve a top speed of 35 – 50 knots, dependant on final engine and jet specifications, with effortless performance at the higher speeds. Dependant on LOA, the engine and jet drive packages are chosen to suit – the result is finely tuned, premium performance.
Compass Tenders’ catamarans are available in lengths from 10.0m to 13.5m, and can be stowed aboard a parent superyacht or used in a chaseboat format.
