Craftsmanship

Founded in 2004, Compass Tenders is an expression of owner & CEO Richard Faulkner’s lifelong passion for boats and the sea. Today, the company’s facilities on the River Hamble in the UK encompass some 25,000 square feet, and they employ a highly-skilled workforce of over 100 people.

Often collaborating with the design house of the superyacht, the result is a completely unique tender that perfectly echoes the style and characteristics of its mothership.

Compass Tenders have now constructed over 65 bespoke tenders for a wide spectrum of uses. Operated throughout the world’s oceans and ports, their tenders are built and equipped to cope with the most challenging conditions.

Design Solutions

Each tender is designed and built to fulfil its own distinct purpose, lovingly crafted with superior attention to detail. Quality and performance are paramount, ensuring a Compass-built tender is noticed for both its luxury look and its high-speed seakeeping.

British Craftsmanship

The production and operations team is headed by Katharine Dominy, who joined Compass Tenders in 2008, and consists of over 80 boat-building professionals. All aspects of a tender’s construction are undertaken on site by our elite boat builders, composite specialists, electrical experts, fabricators, fairers, joiners, painters and technical engineers.

Compass Tenders has longstanding team members working across the admin, purchasing and operational departments, with clients appreciating the consistency and reliability this offers.

Compass Tenders is committed to progressing British boatbuilding expertise and runs a very successful apprenticeship programme, many of whom chose to remain with the company once qualified.
