A compact but powerful limousine was the brief for this luxurious 9.4m tender, and the commission gave opportunity for Compass’ first collaboration with RWD for the design.


The client sought a pair of tenders (the limousine is accompanied by an 8.2m open tender) that echoed the mothership’s design and served in perfect complement.

Whilst Compass handled the naval architecture and build, RWD were responsible for the interior design and exterior styling.
What really makes this limousine special, is its high passenger capability for its size – seating eight within the interior cabin and four on the external seating. Other notable aspects of the design include a powered, wrap-around forward bulkhead and door.
The climate-controlled cabin features teak and intricate woodwork detailing. There’s an integrated audiovisual system – which includes hidden speakers and a subwoofer – and multi-level lighting creates a comfortable cocoon.
The limousine has a 40-knot top speed and is powered by two Yanmar 4LV-250HP inboard diesel engines with Yanmar ZT370 stern drives. The 400-litre fuel capacity delivers a range of 175nm.
The tender can be boarded via the forward boarding steps to port, or the folding steps to aft on the port and starboard side – all optimised for positioning alongside the mothership’s swim platform.
